I was always interested in drawing and painting, even as a small child, but really got serious with art and photography as I entered my teens. I view the camera as just another tool for creating artwork and I enjoy experiementing with my customers in order to help create something special. I offer a wide range of photographic experience, but I am particularly fond of producing portraits.
In my painting work I combine my love for photography with tradition methods of painting to create unique images that are often surreal and thought provoking. I typically work in oils, acrylic, airbrush and pastels and I offer most of my artwork as limited edition giclée prints. I get my inspiration from the people, textural and scenic images from the many fascinating places I have visited around the world.
After graduating college in 1975 with a degree in Commercial Art and Illustration I began my career working as an art director within the offset printing and corporate industries. I established DRC Advertising, an advertising design firm in 1980 which serviced clients such as Branson Ultrasonics, Ciba-Geigy, First Brands, Boehringer-Ingelheim, Union Carbide, G.E. Capital, and Chase Manhattan Bank. I am currently Vice President and co-owner of Visual Impact, LLC - a graphic design and large format printing company located in Danbury, CT.
